MAN B&W is the world’s leading provider of large-bore diesel engines for marine and power plant applications. The company develops two-stroke and four-stroke engines, auxiliary engines, turbochargers and propulsion packages that are manufactured both by the MAN Diesel Group and its licensees.
The world market-leading two-stroke MC engine program from MAN Diesel has evolved since the early 1980s to embrace bore sizes from 260 mm to 980 mm for propelling oceangoing ships of all types and sizes. The engines have a total power range from 1,100kW to 54,720kW. This covers all MC engines from the 26MC to the 98MC series.
MAN B&W four-stroke engines play a leading role on the market. Longevity, efficiency, flexibility and environmental friendliness are their strengths, with power ranging from 450 to 6,000 kW at speeds between 720 and 1200rpm.
